How to Make Friends With the New Girl in Class

Befriend her by introducing yourself on her first day. Be friendly and offer to help if she has trouble finding any of her classes or has questions about the teachers, other students, extracurricular activities or what you've learned in class up to this point.
Step 2
Invite her to sit with you at lunch if she's eating alone. As you're eating, ask her questions to get to know her better. Find out about her old school and hometown, family, best subjects, hobbies and favorite movies and music, for example. Point out what you have in common.
Step 3
Exchange cell phone numbers or email addresses so you can also communicate after school. Send one message and wait for her to reply before sending another so you're not pestering her or appearing overeager.
Step 4
Find ways to make her feel a part of the school. Ask her if she'd like to join the clubs you're in if the subject matter interests her. Introduce her to your other friends so she'll have more people to talk to. Get her involved in activities like pep rallies, student elections, dances and sporting events to bolster her school spirit.
Step 5
Tell her more about yourself and keep anything you discuss between the two of you. If she's skeptical about the reasons why you're being so friendly, hearing that you've repeated your conversations to other students will confirm her fears and jeopardize your chance of becoming friends
